The Story

"Why Texas? The question was asked humbly, but firm. "Why Texas, Lord, when you know I love skiing, - and I'm not talking about water-skiing". There was no answer. The next morning: "Why Texas, Lord? Why did You bring me to Texas? You know I love the Great Northwest and the mountains"? Silence. The third morning, with persistence: "Why Texas, Lord? I need to know".

In the early morning, on the third day, the still, gentle voice finally answered: "Open your passport, Quinn". "Open my passport?! Not my Bible"? - I replied a bit puzzled. "Open your passport, Quinn. On page eighteen".

On page 18 in the American passport former president Dwight Eisenhower's quotation reads: "Whatever America hopes to bring to pass in the world must first come to pass in the heart of America".

"Where are you, Quinn"? - I heard The Lord say gently. "Oh, I see, I am in the heartland of America. I am in the buckle of the Bible-belt."! "Yes, and where are you in this heartland"? "I am in Temple. In the very heart of Texas". "Correct, and in the heart is where conviction starts, Quinn. I have placed you here for a very specific reason and purpose. You are a brick in a puzzle. A puzzle that I lay. A story - my story - that you are a part of and that you have been prepared for, - for decades now. And it starts in Temple, Texas."

The human story is dramatic and violent. We have been given free will, and it shows. Getting what we want and whatever we want has led to numerous power-struggles and wars throughout history. Our quest for more has taken its toll on nature. And the problem with more is that more is never enough...

One could argue that we are a stubborn and perhaps even primitive specie. Because when our King, the King of Mercy, came and promised us forgiveness and freedom we wanted nothing of it. We would rather live in the slavery of our own mind and continue our own little separate lives. Separate from the promise of eternal life. In Heaven. With God.

Perhaps a tiny bit ignorant. Just perhaps. Because God, in His mercy welcomes us back. Again and again [Luke 15:11-32]. So, if you are exhausted and tired of slavery and the self-created mess on this planet, - turn to Jesus. Turn to the Story Of God.

We are all children of God. Sons and daughters on a journey. Home. This world is not our home. Heaven is. The paradox is that we can bring heaven on earth. Regain paradise. Through repentance. Turning to Jesus.

In His infinite wisdom God wanted to give us a journey. With Him. This is why our obedience was tested. And we failed. Adam failed. Through one man we fell. This world’s original sin is disobedience.

Things became a mess. We became very confused. So God - in His mercy - sent us guidance. Abraham established the Covenant of Faith in One God. We were still reckless and disobedient. Even lawless. So God - in His mercy for His children - sent us Moses with the law: The Ten Commandments.

His Story

Through one man we fell into sin. Through one man we established a covenant with God. Through one man we received commandments on how to live. And life on Earth was still challenging, hard and stressful. Because we didn’t know how to overcome our guilt!

Then God - in His infinite wisdom and mercy - sent us the greatest gift of all: A messiah. Yeshua HaMashiach. Jesus The Messiah. And He brought us forgiveness! The forgiveness of our sins. An extraordinary gift.

Think about it for a moment. Here we have been given this playground - Earth - where we can do whatever we want. Experience a journey from complete ignorance and darkness to an awaken state in bliss with our God. Receive the journey, the fun AND the greatness. Just through believing in our savior. Jesus Christ.

He gave us plenty of reasons to believe. The biggest one was to overcome death. Think about it. Death died!

With Jesus you can have access to eternal life. WITH is the key word here. This is why The Father - God, in His everlasting mercy - sent us The Holy Spirit.

We can literally live a joyous life, and like children receive The Kingdom Of God. Receive! There is nothing you have to do in receiving! Receiving is an ‘act’ of accepting.

Accepting that God is unconditional love. Why Jesus said ‘Love God, love each other’. There you have it. Literally. Have it. Heaven on Earth. Paradise won. Paradise regained. Paradise restored. Divine lasting love in our hearts.

Unconditional love. It is quite miraculous.
